Nederland will be fine, and the only thing wos proved tonight was that they also will be a force on the field this year with a fast defense that gets off the ball and gets after you.

I wish I was your bookie... Nederland "lost" a scrimmage to Hardin Jefferson once. The bridge jumpers wrote that season off.. The result a state semi-final loss to Smithson Valley. Both defenses looked great tonight. Neither offense looked sharp. WOS made a few more plays on offense. Nederland had a lot of dropped passes. The defense will keep Nederland in games until the offense starts to click. There is talent there. Once the offensive line settles in, it will be business as usual for the Nederland offense. Mark my words.

[/quote]coming into the season both defenses were suppose to be stout. the Offense on each side had questions, funny how the scrimmage ended up with both defenses being good and both offenses having things to fix. hmmmmm

I’m not a Bulldog but I know enough about them not to judge them by their first scrimmage or count them out. Plus WOS could be their best competition of the year even though its too early to say that too.

Buddy G seems to be one of the biggest HS football followers on here. I actually enjoy the posts and don’t see much intended harm. JMO

My thoughts exactly. Some close family friends are big Ozen fans and I've never known them (or any other Ozen fans) to be so hard on Nederland. My one reservation is that this guy might be sore over Nederland's last second win against Ozen last year, if he's really from Ozen to begin with.

For a new guy, though, he sure seems to know the layout of the board pretty well. Not to mention that his posting style is familiar.
