ChampionEagles Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 I believe in supporting my local team, but do it by paying my school taxes yearly(which seem to go up yearly). Never would I put my home up as collateral and rely on a bunch of elected school board members to decide to pay it off for me. Crazy don't even begin to describe this.
Eazy Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Would they have done that for a new computer lab too? A blue turf is a completely unnecessary expense, and the people that put up their house as collateral should lose it. But now they hope that the intelligent taxpayers that rejected the bond will now come forth and bail them out for their poor judgement? It's for the kids! Once again, it appears that FOOTBALL is far more important than EDUCATION.
PhatMack19 Posted August 22, 2012 Author Report Posted August 22, 2012 Nederland really, really needs some turf on that field. Maybe we can get Smitty to put up his house, since we can't get a bond passed. :D
