bobtex Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 New Caney ISD purchased 28 acres near new town center,in Valley Ranch, for a new sports stadium that will rank among the top in Texas in technology, design and function!Sounds like it could be nice!

To be built at an estimated cost of $16 million, the stadium’s amenities include artificial turf and a jumbo electronic scoreboard. We want to attract those teams from East Texas so they won’t have to wind up driving across Houston for the playoffs.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 to small, it will only attract the small schools from East Texas and surrounding areas IMO.
liltex Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Seems they could have a shared stadium w/Porter.One day they may be consoladated(sp)to be a lg.5a sch. 8)
bobtex Posted August 22, 2012 Author Report Posted August 22, 2012 They have plans to build another 4-a high in 4-5 years! The district gained over 1,500 new students this year!
liltex Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 New Caney may be better than projected by the sports guru's ;)
LP0175 Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 And just wait until they build that Bio-Compound (I mean environmentally friendly theme park), the POPULATION IS REALLY GOING TO BURST ;)
griff Posted August 22, 2012 Report Posted August 22, 2012 Unfortunately, the theme park will not be built. The investors apparently bilked millions from Montgomery County and there will be nothing to show for it.
