Sounds like a Man trying to soften the blow to his reputation, knowing what's coming next week.  Props to PA News for publishing what any Nederland fan that was there saw.  :o

If  Ned's scrimmages are any indication, their chances of a district champ repeat may, like Receiver Colton Kimler, also take a hit on the chin. Nederland needs to get healthy in a hurry.

31-14?  smitty says, hummmmm!!
Darn, were 0-2 in scrimmages. Guess we should fire the DC and cut ole Larrys salary. With Smitty its never a pat on the back, but always a kick in the A$$. No excuses here, its a long season.... and it hasnt even started yet!!!!

When you have seasoned starters on the side lines with injuries its difficult to make things happen as they do in practice. Moving people around or putting players in who have very little experience at the varsity level is gonna cause problems. Both PNG and Nederland have starters not playing right now because of injuries. Lets all just hope they heal up quickly and will be ready for some Friday Nite Lights !
Best thing about scrimmages is that you get to evaluate your players and back ups and how your team handles adversity.

LOL!  Ned did a good job last year.  But, like I said, it wasn't because of, but in spite of.  I wish we would win state every year.  Defense wins championships.  Well, you know the rest.  Not because of the kids.  Good luck Ned.

Smitty????  Didn't hear squat from him last year, did we?

The law of averages allows you to brag every now and then.  Good for you.  But nothing has changed concerning the past noted discussions.  There's no doubt Neaumann has the ability to win a state championship.  But I have MY OPINION on why it'll never happen as long as certain things don't change.  We know for a FACT your philosophy on the subject hasn't gotten us one!  Heck, it took us 19 years to get an out-right district championship going with your philosophy.  LOL!!

Some people just aren't happy unless they have something to complain about.

UIL recognizing "ties" has kept Neumann from enjoying a few district titles. They don't come easy.

Sorry we "lost" the scrimmage.

I think ned needs to take a step back and chill. They had some injuries and got beat by an excellent dayton team. It was a freakin scrimmage. Nederland will heal up and who knows dayton and nederland for the region sounds good to me. Keep your heads up watched crosby last night and they looked very average against a horrible mw team.

Well, you won't need to waste any of your time contemplating that. Unlike you, us Mid County folks know how to lose gracefully. We don't need to make excuses and speak about what MIGHT have been and COULD have been... We just take care of business in the moment and point to the scoreboard when leaving the stadium.
We'll see how average Crosby looks when Bulldog fans walk out singing the Cougar fight song. Aston right, Austin left, strike up the band.  Talked to the "reasonable" Dayton fans at work, even one of the kids' dad, and they told me they're bigger but less talented than last year. Hererra's loss was huge. Told me Chambers gets flustered easy and doesn't do well with contact. Nederland just looked slow and unathletic last night. Dayton looked bigger but not as talented as last year. Trying to figure out if you have an unproven qb, an rb who's best year is behind him and no real playmakers on the edges, how Dayton is excellent and Crosby is average? Didn't see the scrimmage, but if they did what they did against St. Thomas it was basically a four play offense and try to keep the twins healthy. All this will be for not Friday night when Crosby's singing GO BIG RED late into the Nederland night!
