Heard bc jv beat newton yesterday.  Anyone know if this is true or a score

Yes BC JV beat Newton JV 12-8 Newton starting quarterback left school at lunch with a 102 tempature. Had to use one of the runningbacks at quarterback kid had never taken a snap before at QB. But all in all Newton played well enough on defense to win but the inexperiece at qb cost them.

Not make any excuses just letting you know what had happened with the jv game.

Nobody really giving a BC a chance? The Cardinals certainly have enough talent to "surprise" the naysayers. The Senior class and Junior class have been very successful for Bridge City and there is no reason to believe they can't continue that trend. This early season test with a very good Newton team will provide a great measuring stick for the Cardinals and others to judge where this team really stacks up. For all of those who haven't seen this years team,or don't know any of the players like the hometown fans do, you may be surprised by what you see. You may also be right in saying "graduation hurt them and they aren't that good", we will soon find out. Here's hoping the Cardinals surprise the rest of the area.

Looking for BC to win a close and well played game. Good luck to all and safe travels.

Bridge City is capable of winning tonight, no doubt. They have experience over Newton by the number of juniors and seniors on their squad. Right now Newton is inexperienced but with talent. Could go down like the titanic or could put up big numbers. Just don't know. I'm ready for some football. Good luck Bridge City, just not too much. ;)
