BrenhamFan Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 I will be shocked if they are successful like this.http://m.itemonline.com/huntsville/db_291954/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=CochzVdx
bh89-2 Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Maybe they play that 5-down football and have one for every down? It is Huntsville, afterall.
Eazy Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Well they have 2 games to figure it out. Maybe the 5 QB offense will be the new trend.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 they wont win more than 2 games

Lions#80 Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012
they wont win more than 2 games
I agree ;D
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 have to settle on ONE QB before district starts if they want to make the playoffs otherwise good luck to them in bball.

BrenhamFan Posted August 29, 2012 Author Report Posted August 29, 2012 I say they win between 4 & 6 games. Leaning more towards 4 though.
Lions#80 Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 I don't know what their problem is but their program is not what it use to be. Even the last when they made the playoffs out of a weak district, they were not good.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 they never made the playoffs when they were in Lufkin's district right?
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012
I think they did one year.
imma have to do some some research. i wanna see when the last time Huntsville was a legit team.
Eazy Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 1992 was the last time Huntsville was legit in my opinion. They were 5A at that time. In 1991, they were the USA Today preseason #1 in the nation. Coach Joe Clements retired a couple of years after that, and then the bottom dropped out. They haven't really been very good since except for the couple of years that Justin Gilbert was the QB in 2008-2009. They have made the playoffs the last 4 years, but are still a very mediocre team.I actually don't remember Huntsville ever being in a district with Lufkin. Maybe they were, but I don't recall that.

Back when Justin Gilbert was a junior. (4 or 5 years ago) They beat us 21-0 in Brenham this year. Gilbert's senior year we were more prepared and handled them in Huntsville.
