MEM Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 The 2012 Trojans take the field tonight. Will be interesting to see what this years team looks like without 3 year starters Gilbert, Monroe, Harrison, & Andries. All 4 were captains and presided over Coldsprings arguably best 3 year run in school history 38-6. 28-3 last 2 years with a State Championship appearance & semi-final run. This years version returns alot of talented players who have played crucial roles the last couple years. Should be fun seeing who steps up into the vacated leadership roles. Should know alot about this years squad early on as they face probably the toughest non district stretch in 3a (all on the road)
YOuKnow00 Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 Coldspring has this game all the way, defense is too much for the Panthers, & the passing is better than it has been since Chad Allen was under center, Alfred scott has improved alot since his sophomore year, wouldn't be surprised if Johnson or Giddens ran for 100+ yards each..
MEM Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Offense doesn't look as explosive as last year but probably to be expected this early in the year. Especially playing against better competition pre district & breaking in a new backfield.
MEM Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 And no sooner I say that CS takes one to the house. pat missed. 13-0 Trojans
TROJAN92 Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 TROJAN BIG D IS FAST AND READY AT EVERY SNAP!!!!!!13 TO 0 6MIN LEFT IN SECOND QUARTER.
MEM Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 TD CE King 13-7 Trojans 4 & change left in 2nd
MEM Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 CS has probably punted more tonight than they have in about 2-3 years (in a reg season game).
texaggies07 Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 What's the problem how come we can't move the ball? I'm listening on the radio. I thought CE King was not supposed to be very good. Kinda disappointed in the score.
texaggies07 Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 This don't look good going into the game next week with Navasota.
MEM Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 TD CE King. Extra point no good. Tied up at 13. Less than 7 mins to play
MEM Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 TD Coldspring 2nd conv good. 21-13 little over 3 min left in game
Kvillecats Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012
This don't look good going into the game next week with Navasota.
This dont look good against Lamarq!!!
MEM Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Anyone who expected CS to pick up where they left off last year was being unrealistic. Lost several great players, playing a much tougher non district schedule, younger/less experienced players filling key roles & playing both ways while doing so. Going to take some time to settle in. Still looks like they are going to come out with a win.
MEM Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 CS lines up in victory formation..CE King out of time outs. Ballgame. CS wins 21-13.
Monkeynuts Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 I'm going to be at the game next week at Navasota rooting for you guys. Someone needs to tell the D to be prepared for throws, that Navasota QB averages 300 plus yards 3 plus TD's throwing. Prepared to see you guys put a stop to that high powered offense. Good Luck. Navasota going to be a tuff game.... Go Trojans.
