dawg13 Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Sometimes the better coached team wins. Our problems or not nothing new but what went on last nite was not the problem.
prepballfan Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Wow Im shocked here really thought this game was going the other way. Wow!
dawg13 Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Play your leader, not what you like.Just that simple.

CATS80 Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012
Should have hired Joe Dale
Wow . After going through coach after coach. With the same results. One should wonder. Maybe and i repeat maybe its not the coaches. Just a thought.

wackpack Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 So after a couple games that mean nothing your ready to run coach out of town ? Give the guy a chance !!
jenks Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012
So after a couple games that mean nothing your ready to run coach out of town ? Give the guy a chance !!
Agreed! Some people just want to be idiots.

dawg13 Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 It is when the coaches ask kids to lead the team when they or not the leader of that team ,just doesn't make sense but at the end of the day its his team not mine.
dawg13 Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 Although the kid did well ,but you lost the respect of your team and that's hard to regain in Longhorn land. Just don't make the Team. Suffer.
wackpack Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 I can't believe these post...... Best of luck coach

That is a problem. You get no respect from the kids. And no body can lead a bunch that wont follow. Like I said maybe its not the coaches . You need to look at yourselves maybe. Just a thought

bobbymcgee Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 only one more winnable game on the schedule. H-J. they don't win that one and the Horns go 0-10 and revert back to the Mangan days.
Colt12 Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 The problem in Longhorn land is not the kids nor the coaches it is the parents that don't hold their kids accountable. Winning is a culture!!!! Any game is a winnable so for you to say that the only game HF can win is the HJ game goes to show how much you know about the sport... Football teams are different every week.
old doc Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 I can't believe that some of you are ready to throw in the towel after the first game. Your defense did a great job only allowing a nine yard drive for a TD. Offense has some kinks to work out the freshman did a good job he will be a work in progress and will make freshman mistakes. The rest of the team needs to rally around him and he will lead you. I hope they find a place for the other QB and accepts his role and knows his role and leads from this point on and does not pout.
AggiesAreWe Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Gathering from these posts, I take it that the returning QB Smith is not the starting QB anymore. Interesting in that Smith was 2nd team all district last year and a player that I thought would lead this team.Curious to see how this plays out.
dawg13 Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 old doc no comment on aggiesarewe comment, seems like you got it all figured out.
AggiesAreWe Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 A senior returning starting QB who had good enough numbers last season to warrant being named 2nd team all district, gets replaced by a freshman. :oVery, very interesting. ;)
