Washington's stats should also show the "hurries". What a joy he is to watch.
incognito Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 Offense - JORDAN OZEN, Jakobi Jones - Ozen Panthers Defense - Nederland's defense. Vidor's defense.
belle-mere Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Don't laugh. I know it's Tarkington and I know they played Huntington, but Tarkington's sophomore quarterback Hunter Johnson rushed for 211 yards yards and passed for 78 yards. Those are good numbers and signal that better times are coming to a program that has struggled for decades. Congratulations to Johnson and the Longhorns.
tupac7 Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 I don't care who you play. If you hold someone to 27 total yards then they should be recognized as a unit. I hope the Pirates get what they deserve.

But there is also a big difference in 24 yards and 0 touchdowns and 149 yards and 1 touchdown.
jake94 Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 24 yards allowed is impressive no matter how bad the competition. Both teams had a great defensive performance. Good job 20-4A!
pinelandflash Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Offensive players:Desmond Lacey QB West Sabine: 15 carries 239 yards 3TD (45,60,21)Nick Williams, RB West Sabine: 15 carries 200 yards 3TD (80, 10,16)Both in 60-21 win over KellyDefensive players:WS defense (158 total yards, 3 turnovers forced, 4 sacks) in win over Kelly.
fastback Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Pinelandflash, I think you should include West Sabine's Offensive Line as a nominee.

cornhusker Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Jordan from Ozen on offense and Curon and Washington of Nederland on defense. Vidors defense gets 2nd place for whipping up on .probably one of the weakest 4A schools in Texas.
mrscrooge Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Defensive award for a Defensive Player Cleveland DB#4 Donnell Baldwin 2ints 1fumble recovery 6 tackles
cooligan Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 Defensive nominations from Nederland. Individual games stats against Crosby. Total QB Tackles QB FumblePlayer Tackles Solo Assisted Sacks or loss Hurries RecoveriesKoby Couron (DE) 10 7 3 3 2 5 0DeShawn Washington (DE) 8 6 2 4 0 4 1Personally, I think the whole D, from NED should be nominated. There may not be another team, this year, that will be able to hold Crosby and the twins to 7 or less points. The D line was terrific, the LB's did great when Crosby was able to get by the front four and the DB's may have been the unsung hero's who were able to close the cap when Crosby got the ball in open space. Keep up the good work Dogs.
PhatMack19 Posted September 4, 2012 Author Report Posted September 4, 2012 We are going to try to keep the players of the week to indivual players and not whole teams if possible. I know defensive stats are way harder to come by, but post them here if you got them and give these kids some recognition.
cooligan Posted September 4, 2012 Report Posted September 4, 2012 Does anyone have coaches stats from Vidor? Who were the standouts?
