Hupernikomen Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 Orangefield always plays the Dogs very tough. Jasper looked pretty good to me in their game against Liberty. Orangefield gave a very good EC team a close match. This should be a good close game.

I guess my mind is going. haha[/quote]First meeting was in 2006 when we had the monster 8 team 3A district. OF won that game at the Dawg House 33-6 I believe it was. Then Jasper won at OF the next year in Thomas Brooks's first year back 24-14. Then the two non district games, 2010 at Jasper where OF won something like 49-30 and then last year OF won in OF 47-37

I'm not sure that EC's line was as physical as Jaspers' will be, but it should be a good game to see. OF saw Liberty in a scrimmage and played heads up with them, Jasper spanked Liberty last week. I'll be there, swapping from Jaspers' side to OFs' side, got friends and family on both sides. Good luck to both teams. Skipping Buna/Kville, don't really want to be around there as the old HWY 96 rivalry gets renewed! Not much of a brawler ya know...

bobcat4life Posted September 5, 2012 Report Posted September 5, 2012 Absolutely no way Jasper keeps OF under 30. Once OF decided to play they scored 28 in one half. That was without Carl Wiley, who in my opinion is the best player hands down on OF's team. He is the same kid that had a 98 yard run last year against Jasper as a Sophmore. The game will come down to turnovers and possession. It should be a good game. I do find it interesting that OF has won all but one of the games in the last several years, yet every pick has Jasper winning...
