The Newton Eagles continue their 2012 football season as they travel to Liberty to take on the Panthers in predistrict play!  W.T. Johnston's Eagles are 1-0 on the season after last week's 35-12 victory over Bridge City.  Meanwhile, Shane Deel's Panthers are looking for their first victory of the season after falling to Jasper last Friday, 49-13.

Left the game at Halftime Liberty really got some good soild kids, but I think the coaching staff is no good at all. It should of been a way better game. The athletes of Liberty is not buying into the system at all. I think they need to hire new coaches. RB Fregia has heart and potential to be real good, Mosley is a soild performer also the QB Standish is pretty good

the qb good?? i was at the game and this Hudson was getting sacked and hit hard. i thought he almost got a injury after he just layed for a couple minutes.. honestly.. liberty better pick it up or its gonna be a long season for them
