baddog Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 I arrive at games fairly early and was wondering how many people think the home side should be moved back to where it was. Was the home side moved because of the press box? That sun sure is a killer.
phunter308 Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 Tell me about the only home side that is in the sun. Hot hot hot!!!!

dog 67 Posted September 7, 2012 Report Posted September 7, 2012 I heard that when they were going to expand the home side that they couldn't because of the street, so they moved home to the other side to make it bigger. GO DOGS

I know CO Wilson uses that as their home side, but as long as I have been alive Nederland has always been on the same sideline that it is now.
BaseBow Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 It was the same way in 88-89 ...I can remember watching Barrow and Mark Simon it was on the same side then also..I think that was 85-86
Bulldog8 Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 It was the same in 80 til now... thats asfar as I can go back. I dont know if was ever on the other side.
coach pops Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 The home side was what is now the visitors side for many years. It was changed in the seventies because it couldn't be expanded because of Detroit Ave. Showing my age. :(

In the early 60's? Maybe. I saw some games back then but don't remember which side I was on.
dawgnut Posted September 8, 2012 Report Posted September 8, 2012 The first games I ever went to in the late '60s the home side was on the Detroit side of the stadium. Who ever said that the move was made because of expanding the seating is correct.
