Central, if your soooooooo confident. Just suit up your top 30 kids, keep the others home so the depth factor is equal and let's play. What other 3A school in the area schedules schools consistently every year that has twice the amount of players we have and has such an outstanding record as we do? Central had better worry more about PN-G than us.

AS far as your district, we have already proven we can hang with Vidor and Nederland. Already beat LC-M, and PN-G.

trust me you guys have not played a team more athletic then THIS YEARS WO-S team especially not on defense.. You will see friday night these kids are on another level this year.. 6 D-1 ball players on defense.

Central has played PA Memorial this year. PAM is every bit as athletic as WO-S. Memorial is much bigger on the front lines that WO-S.

Will be tough for Central to score against the Mustangs defense. WO-S will most certainly score. Shutout is a possibility in this game. Too bad the Mustangs are not still a 4A team. The coaching at WO-S is as outstanding as the talent that is churned out of Orange year after year. Hopefully the district administration will be as supportive of the players and coaches as the school and community are. This is a special group this season.

Central will match up with us better than either of our first two opponents. We have not seen a team yet this year, in our games or scrimmages that compare to the speed of the game that Central is going to bring. On the other hand, Central HAS played teams that can bring to the table what we will. Although I think both of those teams are in rebuilding years right now. Had they faced last years PAM or WB and played them that close I would be a whole lot more worried. But, as it stands, you can throw out the records. This game will be close and anyone who thinks other wise is not using very good judgement. I will not be surprised by whichever team wins, and I don't see a blow out either way unless there are turnovers early and one team or the other just gets way down quick and it gets out of hand. I don't see either team shutting the other out either.

The last-time WO-S played central was in 2006 when Brandon Williams (A&M commit was at QB) and
Its a reason why Beaumnt schools and PA took WO-S off the schedule nobody wants to be the big school that loses over and over to a little 3A school. lol
I can't recall the last time WOS played Brook. What I do recall however, is every local team not named Central, PAM and Ozen running for the hills when Stump came to town.  8)

Blew em out by like 25 points and Neumann refused to play again. There's a reason why we had to play the likes of Katy for example.  ;)

    • I'm not sure who you are Separation Scientist, but you and I are on the same page entirely.  BH has not played tough, physical football for 4 full quarters in years (before the Gage hiring).  I feel it has 99% to do with how we work in the offseason.  I know we lift weights and spend a great deal of time lifting those weights and doing footwork drills, etc., ......but are we hurting and learning to fight through the pain and get to that next level and continue on?  I firmly believe in quality over quantity.  Do the coaches work the kids until exhaustion and then continue pushing them?  I know the answer.... they do not!  We practice in an indoor air conditioned taj mahal even when the weather is great.  It is much different than what the BH offseason program was in the nineties and early 2000s....and the programs of Katy and PNG of today.  We worked through multiple agility, plyo, mat drills, bleachers, hill training, weight training circuits until we were puking and after we finished non-stop motion for 50 minutes all groups would meet on the track to run a quarter for time.  If you didn't make the time you had to run it again.  We did this every day and would routinely test strength and speed (included a mile run for time...which hasn't happened at BH in years...yes, big boys can run a mile) ....and 90% of all athletes would improve in both strength and speed throughout the offseason.  This all took place in 4th period of the school day, and it got results.  We didn't have any big, sloppy dudes because they couldn't make it through the offseason (they lost weight and became hosses.... or quit) and our numbers were streamlined to only include those that really wanted to be there and put in the work.  One thing that didn't happen is we didn't have kids lay out injured on the field.  I do not remember many, if any, ever getting hurt or missing a game.  I contribute that to how we worked in the offseason.  Until we get the program back to this way of thinking and working, we will continue to be mediocre.  We have twice the athletes and numbers today than we did then so it would be fun to see the results.  It can be done.  Not sure it will be done.

    • West Fork will try to run it mostly.  They will likely drain the play clock every snap and try and limit the PNG possessions.  Their opening drive against Huntsville was over 6 minutes. They may find the end zone once or twice.  They are playing hard.  Good game to get the backups experience.
