Lamar taking back over.  We have a strong defense.  Half of our scoring has been ball position due to defense and special teams.  LU has not done much against a long field offensively. Running backs are impressive for LU but the Oline is still weak.

Constant pressure by the defense the PV QB never had much time to throw.  I'm not sure of the auctual number of sacks but had to be close to 6.

I can't tell what you are implying, but to make a comparison about anything Lamar does this season in football with what UL-Monroe did in and to Arksansas is - well, just ludicrous.  That's just my opinion; a proud alumnus of Lamar State College of Technology, now Lamar University.

[/quote]First, I didn't make that comparison. But lets say I did. The fact that UL-Monroe is able to win these mismatch games on a budget much smaller than Lamar's athletic budget. It goes against all those "Lamar can't ever compete at FBS, Lamar should stay in the SLC" crowd. UL-Monroe can do, so can Lamar even better. But we need to stop with the wimpy glass half empty we just can't do it" attitude so common among Lamar fans.

On this I wholeheartedly agree with you!!!!  Now on some of your posts on the politcal thread we seem be in different camps!
