Is it best to go 610 to 288? I'll be there. I don't get off until 5 though so save me a seat!!

Considering the Friday traffic patterns in that whole area, it's best to go by helicopter - but maybe that's out of the question. :)

I would get to the stadium by 4 or 5 if i were NED fans  ;)

I've never been to the Angleton stadium, but if the visitor parking is so bad, they should offer a park and ride from a mall or something. ???

Assuming you will be coming from I-10 westbound....I-10 west to 610 south to 288 south. Or I-10 west to 59 south to 288 south. 288 south thru Pearland will be sssllllloooowww until at least beltway 8 in the afternoon. I won't lie to you, It (288 south) SUX that time of the day. Also there is a lot of parking. You just might have to walk a few blocks tho because it's pretty spread out.

You got that right!  ;D But I would suggest take 45 south to FM2004. Should be a little less congested than 288 through Pearland. But either way, you'll hit the traffic.

As far as visitor parking, there is plenty of it. Don't worry about parking. And yes the visitor side is bigger than Friendswood, with more leg space.

I am going to take Beltway 8 all the way from I-10 to 288. I have the EZ pass and just keep driving.
Your car full for Friday?
I don't know yet. I have a friend and his wife going but I am not sure if they will make it in time to go with me if she can get off on time. If they take their car, I have room. If not...........

Yeah, come to think of it, the beltway (which requires paying a few tolls) will put you on 288 south of (a lot of) the southbound rush hour traffic. After that, you'll be looking for the Angleton, 288 business (south) exit, and follow 288B til you reach fm523 and then make a left there (south). You will then travel a little over a mile until you see the high school (and the stadium) on your right. Make a right @ the light just before the school and then you are there!

This would be a good route if you don't mind tolls on beltway 8, and it would probably have the least amount of traffic. Only thing is there are a few lights to deal with when passing thru Pearland and Alvin:

I-10 West to Beltway 8 South (then West) around to hwy 35 south, thru pearland and alvin down to fm523, then north (right) about ~2 miles. School will be on your left, stadium will be behind the school, at the end of campus drive which is the first light just past the school. (you can't miss it)

    • That should tell everyone something pretty clearly. Does anyone really think BH is recruiting elementary kids, to get them to transfer in Jr. high? Seriously? Here is the "dirty little secret" about BH: Most people move to the district for a quality living environment to raise their young family, and benefit from the outstanding acedemics at BH. Even If all athlectics suddenly disappeared from BH, people would still want their kids in the district. If thats not enough to convince anyone, and BH really was determined to recruit, first step would be to have open enrollemnt. It is closed.        Yes, I get it, no one ever wants to give BH the benefit of the doubt on anything. Some of the accusations are beyond ridiculous though. This paranoia the BH critics are afflicted with is not just sad, its flat out laughable.
    • Opting is always an option. Are they considering any BC assistants? Highly qualified after that season they put up.
    • Be that as it may, only time will tell. Hide and watch. Don’t be surprised if the next HC hire uses his own recipe. That happens more than not historically. I am not arguing the point that Hooks & CT had a winning combination that could’ve been carried over. I’m saying that finding someone to do that is not going to be as easy as one might think. Tell me again why Saban’s replacement, who even has Saban’s assistance if he wants it, just lost another game to an unranked team and has taken the Tide out of playoff contention? Why wouldn’t he just follow the success of possibly the greatest college football coach ever lived?
    • We've acknowledged having 2 HOF coaches hasn't been like most other schools. So why everyone jumps to the conclusion it wouldn't work here is beyond my comprehension. I see it carry over with these other hires. Gilmer, Aledo, North Shore, Austin Westlake. Next man up that continues the system in place has instant success. Matter fact there was 2 rookie HC that won the state championship the same year we handed over the keys. Same book. Same recipe. Better ingredients.
