PNG Proud Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 The Indians don't take a knee during an injury Time Out.Please don't whine and complain about it. They aren't being disrespectful towards the players. They just don't play in Pop Warner League anymore...(although at times they still play like it).FYI
Eagle11 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 The taking a knee thing is over rated.......just like PNG was
12gage Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Why the need to explain how rude, disrespectful , and unsportsman like !
PNG Proud Posted September 9, 2012 Author Report Posted September 9, 2012 Just thought I'd get those childish replies, like yours, out in the open before the season gets going good.

BTW, until BH actually BEATS PNG, the Eagle can't say that much. LOL
AggiesAreWe Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 I guess my question is, why is taking a knee during an injury timeout considered Pop Warner league?Showing respect shouldn't be belittled in any shape or form. If PN-G doesn't want to take a knee, fine. But don't call the other teams "children" for doing so. ::)

Numberoneonly Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 So if one of png players get hurt....busted in the mouth you will be fine with the other team celebrating?hmmmmm bet not.
NDNation Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Taking a knee is not the only way to show respect...we clap and cheer when the player exits the field. The taking of a knee was so the kids would be stationary and not running around while the injured player was being tended to.
mytwocents-28 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 That attitude of "not taking a knee during an injury" definitely reflects the attitude from the top down in png.
PNG Proud Posted September 9, 2012 Author Report Posted September 9, 2012 I gave the reference to Pop Warner, because that's the method that is used to control the little kids while they helped the injured player. You might say that people are being just as disrespectful when they get up for popcorn during an injury TO. It's just not so.

No one said anything about celebrating. Please, give me ONE example of that ever happening. Can't do it.This is EXACTLY my point. People make a HUGE deal out of absolutely nothing.
Guest UHCoog14 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Y'all just do things better at PNG I guess. Heck, even the pros take a knee for an injury. They are a little older than Pop Warner players.

CowboysNIndians Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Nice try Proud, but remember the old saying - Never argue with idiots, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

mytwocents-28 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Oh yeah real mature. "i did it so you couldn't do it."
team first Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 The png kids should man up and take a knee even if faircloth thinks its pee-wee style
incognito Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Some programs take a knee in respect for the guy who went down. I'm not offended if the other team doesn't take a knee. It's their decision. On the other hand the last thing some of the kids need to be doing is taking a knee. They need to be moving around so they can stay injury-free.

Just like the pros, the Indians ease over to the sideline for a respectful water break.
