I don't know about that ranking for Newton at #1. The Eagles are playing a little better than I had expected at this point, but got a whole lot of sophomores both starting and getting significant playing time. Lots of room for both improvement and error IMO. Could be really good by playoff time, but that's a long ways off. EC should be ranked higher than #11. Their coach down there has a real good program going. And Kirbyville should be at least #2, right behind Newton. ;)

LoL....I thought it was funny that you didn't think Newton should be at #1 but then said Kirbyville should be #2 behind Newton. I hear ya though man. Kville may indeed end up #2 behind Newton in district.

I don't think I'm confused. I stand by my statement that anything I said about Kirbyville was said in a sarcastic way. No way Kirbyville is anywhere near being a threat to enter any kind of poll ranking in the state. Keep your hopes up, but not happening this year.

If you have read any of my other post on this forum, you would know I would never, ever say Kirbyville should be ranked ANYWHERE. Not this year. Your comment was about where Newton was ranked, Kirbyville was an after thought not the subject of your post.....I make no argument about where either team is ranked or not ranked.
