TLB0
what makes him so good that he could make the varsity team as a 7th grader. You understand how silly this sounds right. I mean really hes 12 or 13.

piratefan
I watched that kid last night play before my son's 8th grade game. He's good, but why wouldn't they put him on the 8th grade team? And in my opinion there is no way he can play at the varsity level. He would be an average player at the 9th grade level. Just my opinion
Gusher
I am sure we could all agree there are several kids on the varsity level with less skills... Guys it is simple...judging talent alone if a 5-9--5-10 165-170 lb kid that can run like the wind and hit like a ram and is football savy I think he could. Now the question would I put someone that young in? I would say no just because I would want him to continue to get the reps and continue to develop. Eagle0011
Congrats to Barbers Hill 8th A team for winning district. This group won it in 7th grade as well and have a 2 year record of 15-1. Had a 2 point defeat with 7 players out in one game with injuries( impact players). Almost everyone healthy for the last game vs Dayton, and won 50-27 to take the title again. A great group coming up.
