Just couldn't get anything going, New Caney had a pretty good defense, nice size and speed. They played us well.

If you take the best non-varsity talent and make one team like EC does then yes, HF would have won. I was with some friends from EC tonight and they told me EC has a freshman team. not sure if that is true or not, but if it is. Why did they not play the HF freshman? and the the sophomores play each other? I counted 49 kids on the EC team.
[/quote]I don't know why but you put both your teams together and EC still wins. EC had 4 freshman starters on the sideline that would have made a bigger difference. If this and if that. EC won deal with it.

[/quote]keep in mind how many sophmores are on varsity. Also last week against livingston I noticed dayton had brought up even more kids. At dayton I always look at the freshman and varsity. You have some kids on jv that can play but as a rule if the kid can really get after it he will be a varsity player as a sophmore. I saw several kids on the freshman team that will never play jv. Im kinda suprised how well our jv is doing there is actually more talent on this jv team than dayton normally has.

Actually I think the dayton jv shut out their first 2 opponents. If im not mistaken this was the first 2 points they have given up.

It wasn't so much NC did anything spectacular.Ball was snapped 5' over Qb's head when he got to the ball he was being swarmed he was just over the goal line and before being tackled he threw the ball out of bounds about the 8 yd line.Ruled a safety,no reciever close by 8)

I was reffering to NC, the fact that our JV is doing so well says a lot about our coaching. There is a lot of talent left on Dayton's JV squad, just not quite Varsity material yet. My son is on the JV team(Soph.).

Yes they are 5a but that was one of two teams, the other teamed played their schedule game against Houston Lamar.  Lamar did not have a second team

Yep, #10 Tristan Baughman, he is one of the talented kids I was referring to in my above post. Very athletic just not quite ready for Friday nights. He had 3 int. and alomst scored on the first one, he had a great game.
