Question: If another thread is right and a Vidor running back is out of this game, does that change predictions?

The only score the Faithbul Bulldog Fans remember is 2004... Bulldogs 49 - Dayton 14, and the Bulldogs played the next week both in 2004 & 2007...

I was going to post this on the ticket thread but the admin shut it down.  I had a chance meeting today with the folks who are responsible for the tickets and I was assured that the usual amount of tickets were sent to Nederland.  Vidor is treating this game like all others, in all respects, including tickets.  If you are coming from Nederland and want to see the game and dont want to stand in line you can go to Vidor High school starting Thursday and get them.  I was told that the hours were from 8 til 11 and then from 1 to 3 on Thursday and then Friday from 8 til 11.  You can also get them at the gate.  You wont be turned away.  It will be a packed house and standing room only for sure.  Like I mentioned in the other thread, you will want to get there early because of the parking situation.  Other than that, it would be great to get back to watching two quality programs go at it on the field instead of poor sportsmanship in the stands.

I do have friends I Vidor and respect the Vidor HS football program and Coach Mathews. I have asked my friend to get me one adult ticket when they go on sell there. My son got 1 adult ticket and 1 student today at NHS today.

No, the kid stepping up is an underclassman but every bit as good. Not quite as fast but bigger and stronger as far as the position is concerned. If you were at the CB game, you got a look at what he can do. We will be fine. And i'll say this now, should we lose the game, it won't be because of this situation.

[/quote]Our fullback is out due to behavior and we have pretty good depth in the running back area.

This will have no bearing on the game, Vidor runs the quintuple option, so there many more 
mouths to feed.

Was the Stevenson kid a senior last year? I could have sworn he wasn't. Did he move away or graduate? Who was the underclassmen RB that played in the playoffs last year?

That would be Novak, halfback, replaced smallwood in the crosby game because of an injury and stevenson also got some playing time in the playoffs. He was Bolinger's back up in the tailback position. Both are back and starting.

Thanks. I had not heard Stevensons name this season. Mostly just Moore and Quirante. I remembered he looked solid last season, but had not heard anything about him this year. I remember Novak looked good vs Crosby. If y'all were going to lose a player for any reason, RB would be the place. Y'all are always deep there!

The position where we lost our starter were not really hurting for. Yes he had a lot of yards and such but that is because our offense is basically based around his position therefore he is gonna get a lot of yards and we have atleast 2 kids who are solid players ready to step up.

Funny......on a serious note, all tickets to the game will go on sale starting Thursday from 8-11 am and 1-3:30 pm.  They will also be on sale Friday from 8-11 am and starting at 6pm at the visitor gate.  Our tickets are sold at the field house.  Good luck to both teams and may we have an injury free game.

Stevenson is a Junior this year, he also has a younger brother a couple years behind him that plays as well.
