Jasper has to be the toughest place to win, it seems you are 7 points behind before the game even starts.

The positive is that they have the best Turkey legs ;D

Maybe it's just because it's MCM, but Nederland has always been a hard place for PN-G to play. Outside of that, probably Vidor, which also holds the record for the hardest stadium to get in and out of. We've played them for their homecoming several times and I swear 105 in Vidor is a parking lot everywhere from 1442 to the Jasper County line before and after that game. They really come out of the woodwork for homecoming (not surprising because they put on an awesome show). My senior year, our bus convoy took an hour and fifteen minutes to get from the interstate off-ramp to the stadium, and that was with a police escort calling traffic to the side of the road. We weren't in the stands until about the second quarter.

One of the hardest places to play from the perspective of someone in the stands is probably Livingston. Long drive, small stands, overly excited announcer, lots of mosquitoes and the concessions and bathrooms are on the other side of the field, which means you have to walk on the uneven gravel track to get there. It really sucks in the rain. Nice people though.

When I think about this question I look at it as what team always gives you a tough game at their house. Over the years PNG because of large crowds and the band. But I think that Silsbee benefits from their home more than anybody. They are a touchdown better at home than on the road.

Honestly since i haven't ever had to try and win against the pirates at the boneyard i would have to say png stadium. For some reason that stadium just gives us bad luck.

I would have to agree with that!!  The Reservation is always a hard place to get a win at.  I think that little Indian puts a voodoo spell on the field when he dances across it before the game and during halftime.

There's a reason our seasons don't go well when we do something to the stadium. The first time the stadium was renovated in the early '80s, we suffered a decade-long playoff drought. Then when we replaced the old stadium in 2008, we went 3-6 and didn't win a single game in the new stadium in its first season of operation.

Did I mention we replaced our artificial turf field over the summer?

Also, coaching changes typically have the opposite effect for some reason. See the early seasons of Lew Ford, Doug Ethridge, Danny Malone, Matt Burnett and Brandon Faircloth.

Gotta go with Livingston or Jasper for travel and stadium conditions.
Vidor's teams are almost as tough as getting out of their parking scheme. Also remember their Junior High field had more crawfish holes than yard markers, but that's a different story.
Texas City - not the best area after dark.
WOS and Nederland because they always came to play and the crowds are great.

Just for the Mustang fans. These are the home losses since 2004 according to MaxPreps:

2004 Jasper                  25-23
2007 Bay City                15-12
2010 Kirbyville                28-14 (First game after Reggie was lost)
2011 Friendswood          32-31 (In overtime if memory serves me)

Combined average defeat is by 5 points. Note: No district losses at home in this time span, as Jasper was not a district game.
