The 3 worst MBB, TCU, BSU, and AFA, are leaving, Not a recipe for a conference getting worst in MBB.Cola you are kookoo if you think ESPN is not going to put on national tv a top 25 UNLV vs a Pat Knight team. And a top 25 UNM vs Pat Knight late night western game.Yes, football is driving realignment. However MWC football is as bad as SBC. Like Lamar, MWC will be thinking of its prize sport until football catches up....if it ever catches up.Again, can you imagine Lamar vs UNLV in that new on campus stadium walking distant from LV BLVD. And it would be a winnable game. I can see lots of LU fans making the trip on a $129 Southwest airline special. Unless Lamar to UL-Monroe is more attractive.

Wreckem2011 Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 I agree. I want Lamar to be successful. I don't want them to get blown out each game they play. If this happens, no matter how big the staduim is, nobody will come out and watch them play.

Maybe chronic losing, maybe the economy since Vegas is the worse hit city inj all the USA, maybe entertainment competition, I don't know why. jdcurran235 Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 they do care what their fans think. You have to care what your fans think because they are the ones who donated and participate in the university. I am one of them. If they didnt care about their Alumni and fans, they wouldnt have a 100MM endowment.
WOS95 Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 exactly...they care what their donors think...im an alumnus and attend every game and spend my money at the concessions but im not a big donor...they wont listen to me...maybe everyone should call the alumni that has donated money and have them put pressure on the administration to make changes...
jdcurran235 Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 More than half the money they have raised has been from small time donors like myself. Just saying. And you are a donor if you are buying football tickets. That help supports the football team. So they care what you think as well.
Wreckem2011 Posted September 30, 2012 Report Posted September 30, 2012 Based on football this season, I hope we end up in the MWC like unlv, because the Sunbelt schools have been beating the SEC and ACC. Lamar may have to accept "the invite" from the MWC that UNLV talks about.
