As some might suspect, there were some of our favorite teams missing in this tourney because "real basketball" was being played :DFriday night Games:Crosby 50.......North Shore#2 28Saturday games:Nederland 35 Crosby 29Montgomery 43 Silsbee 22Eisenhower 40 Memorial 23Silsbee 61 Jones 32Silsbee 39 North Forest 35North Shore 49 Nederland 40Elsik 43 Memorial 20Washington 41 Nederland 40Ozen 41 Ridge Point 34Humble 45 Ozen 42Ozen 37 Elsik 32

What "favorite" team was missing. Looks to me like all of the teams from this area who play "real basketball" were there.

I guess I may have implied[s] HJ [/s] (ooops! ) some schools in the area didn't play real basketball.

OZEN needs a lil work but I'm sure they'll polish that up before the season starts, Silsbee was Silsbee lol, nothings changed they play EXTRA HARD every possession. Absent we're Central,HJ, and West brook,guess that real basketball thing was true :D.

Ozen played a strong Elsik team. Good teaching lesson for the babies.Central is so stacked and talented, they can afford to stay home and not play.
PA4Life Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 There was some good competition there. Teams got an early look on some of their players. PA Memorial was 1 - 2. Beat Hightower and lost to Elsik and Eisenhower. PA Memorial will be okay. They are young and learning everyday.

[/quote]I like the way Lott and Chapman play. Don't know the names of other kids. Would love to see PAM return the glory days of Lincoln.

AggiesAreWe Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 I admit I was a bit surprised with the results the Tigers had at North Shore without the services of Holmes, Elam, Jackson, Reed, Scott, Barnes and a couple of others. You looking at a minimum of 3 starters and first two off the bench not participating.

Leaving the Tigers without one more starter from last year. They only had Wilson from the playoff team last year, and Thomas who played part of the year as far as varsity players.
