I can't see any changes making a difference when the kids don't play hard. I also saw that sub-varsity has only one team... Alomst ashame!!

Liberty is currently 0-0 where it counts just like everyone else. I could be wrong, but with the changes made I see 3rd and a one and done playoff run.

Liberty will be ok as long as they dont' get behind.  That's when they lay down and the wheels fall off.  Keep a lead, they may win, get down by a score or two and they will lose by 30.

Liberty has fallen on hard times not sure whats going on over there, Splendora is scrappy and plays very hard, I'm going to say the Wildcats win a close game 20-14.

Bottom Line is that this is a must win for the Panthers.  8) If they lose to Splendora then stick a fork in them as they will be done for the year.  Hope Hookem is right and whatever changes these coaches have made pays off - but I think it will be too little too late as the coaches have now been there long enough to know their players and that changes in the 5th game of the season are too late in most cases.

Will stand by my prediction - Liberty beats Splendora and Tarkington.

Don't expect an easy game there either, Tarkington is much improved from last year.

don't forget just 2 years ago a liberty team ubder shane deel entered district winless after embaressing losses to hardin and hunington. that team turned it around and made a playoff appearence so don't count the panthers out.

that was kinda my point!  I think the only shot they have of winning a game is against Tarkington and its not going to be easy so they better start preparing now.  Its the only shot they have!

Between the injuries and the coach bashing Liberty may not win a single district game. If it is happening on the boards it's probably 10 times worse in the homes. When there is this much turmoil surrounding a team it gets harder and harder every week to go out and give it your best effort. I would love to give a great "rah rah" speech about how resilient the HS athlete is, but the problem is they're only kids and they can only take so much before they crumble. Good luck to the Panthers this year and hopefully these kids and the coaching staff will start getting some encouragement from the home front.
