Just wandering if its for real?[/quote]If you go back and look many of us PNG fans that had actually seen him in action before the season said basically that the kid was tall and had good straight line speed. We said very little about his arm and his abilities as a QB. I think for his future he is in a much better place now where he can use the tools he does have.OH and the kid from SC is best QB I have seen yet this year. Reed is very good and would love to have him in Purple, but the SC kid is another level good.

footballnation Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 Walker from PNG is young but definitely the best for his age (sophomore). He is getting the start this week on Varsity against Lumberton, and will be fierce in the years to come!

Young man doesn't belong in this conversation at all. He hasn't even made his first start yet. I think some of you are expecting too much out of him right away. He is a good athlete and should be a good HS QB with more experience. He is the better of the two QB options at PNG right now. There is a kid in 9th grade (Morse) that will probably have Walker moving positions in the near future, which is not a bad thing since Walker will be good at whatever he does on the field.

I saw him in the WOS game I didnt see anything that special. Not taking anything away from the young man but your puttin alot of stock in him. WOS has a pretty good little soph. qb also.[/quote]
football04 Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 I hope the Walker kid plays well, but let's not get ahead of ourselves, he's not even the best soph qb in mid-county, those of you that saw him play ned's freshmen team last year should remember a 6'2'' Ned qb that trashed png in a quarter and a half.
badndn Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 Yes Sophomore QB at WOS (Rutledge) should keep the Ponies right on track next year!This Sr. Class of area QBs is down from last few years. Many of those mentioned here are Jrs including SC QB and Reed from Silsbee.
