Great game by two quality teams...that is what HS football is all about...much respect to Vidor's players and coaches...they played their tails off, just didn't quite have enough to pull it off last night...that Quirante kid played really tough and I have nothing but respect for him...I will bet he is one tired young man today...I would guess that he took more hits last night than he has so far this entire season...no surprises, for me though...I have always respected Vidor's team...now some of their pre-game, trash talking fans, that's a different story but I won't be too hard on 'em...the satisfaction of winning is good enough for me.

As for my Dogs, great effort guys!  So many guys played well...Carson had great command of the game...Defense was really good against a team that has been hanging 40 a week...I won't start mentioning names here because they were all good...great win, enjoy it today and start thinking about Livingston tomorrow...beating Vidor was a great win, but only one small step towards the overall goal...stay the course guys.

But seriously, major props to Vidor...those kids played great and will be very difficult to beat the rest of the way...anybody who does will know they were in a battle

Great game. Can we please start playing this as a yearly neutral site game at Lamar? Can hold more fans plus I  hate going to Vidor because of the game day traffic
Also going to go out on a limb and say that Vidor's kicking game is going to cost them at some point this season.

our kicking game had been great coming into the game. just had a bad night against a team that it will surely cost you against. gotta get every point you can in games like that. but i believe will be fine the rest of the way.

Congrats Bulldogs on a great win. Nederland should go very deep in the playoffs. Washington is a beast but I was most impressed with Pryor and Stampley. Good job from all 3 players. There were several other standouts from Ned but Pryor, Stampley and Wash were awesome to watch. Good luck young men!

Great game last night!!!  I personally could have done without the eye poke and the illegal chop block that could have seriously injured one of Ned's best players, but anyway.  Vidor came out inspired and ready to play, but Ned was just the better team.

Yeah, Taylor took a sweep right, jumped over a defender and was being tackled, a Vidor defender poked his hand through his facemask and poked his eye.  It was obvious.  Not as obvious of the offensive player who ripped off Barrows helmet on the int at the end of the 1st half though.

Man you really don't know football very well do you. If a football player had a nickel for every time someone poked at his eyes, pinched him, shoved his helmet into the dirt, ripped there helmet off then they wouldn't need to go to the nfl. Sensitive much?

no, I understand completely.  If I was getting pushed all over the field, I would have probably done something too.  Just sayin... I could have done with-out that.  No harm, no foul... but if Ned would have lost #49, that would have been a huge loss.  No pun intended.

there was plenty of what you speak of going both ways. and i seriuosly doubt the cut block was intended to do harm. and if you point out things of that nature, how about the choke slam(yes choke slam) on Montana during an attempted fake punt. i could have done without that but things like that happen in games like this one was. always have and always will. as long as no one is intentionally trying to put someone out of the game, i can live with it.
