This is a toss-up for me. I think Vidor is the better team, but they put so much heart, energy, and soul into that Nederland game. I am wondering if there isnt going to be a little bit of hangover effect from that. Before district, I thought that Vidor would lose to Nederland and one other team. I had a suspicion it could be Ozen, but I am going to go against my gut feeling here.

Wow Dogs27, you and I think just alike. This game scares me to death. I can see the Pirates being flat Friday night for Ozen. I can also see them coming out razor sharp and playing a great game. Lets go PIRATES!

Wasn't this game at the Butch last year ? I thought I remember a WR from Ozen dropping a go ahead TD. This will be the game of the week Vidor put a lot of emotion in to the Nederland game. If they over look the Ozen team speed it will be another lose for Vidor. Wow !!! If the Pirates start district 0-2 there will be some sweating going on up 105

All this discussion is very interesting but the game will be more interesting, if Ozen could possibly be considered the underdog in this game.....there could be an upset. Both teams have a shot.

I do think Ozen is the underdog. That may just be an opinion, but I think Vidor has a big edge on defense. The offenses may be on the same level. That being said, I definitely think both teams have a shot. Should be a close game.

Well I'm flipping a quarter on this one, both teams are able to move the ball, but I think vidor has the edge on defense. Heads that means vidor is getting my vote for the win, got a feeling jacoby jones will have somrthing to say about it though. 8)

Truth is it could be a scary game for Vidor, if what happen at Jerry's World was just that Ozen got caught up in the surroundings. But if not and that was the real Ozen team, they could be in for a good whooping, because there is no doubt Vider is for real but no one is unbeatable. And with that being said I'm changing back to Vidor in this one.

I've seen both teams play once vidor against bridge city and ozen against wedtbrook. both defenses were good. But as var as an edge Im lost. #23 for vidor is a beast and # 1 from ozen is the MVP both defenses better be ready for a hard faught game. My vote goes to ozen by 7.  PLEASE EXPLAIN THE EDGE

Vidor defense was there strong point last year. It what got them 3 rounds deep into the playoffs and they return 8 players from it, including the defensive MVP from last year.

Same can be said about Ozen there defense is what carried them 3 rounds deep in the play-offs.. Ozen 14 - Brenham 10.. They as well have 6 defensive players back... The Panther team speed is what is giving teams problems, so when they can hold a team like Central to 34 total rushing yards with there def thats saying alot
