Uh Silsbee could be a playofff team in 20-4a this year if they were in it ;)
uh... I didnt say anything about Silsbee. I said Lion's backfield was sloppy, those fakes arent fooling anybody. Ned Dline is gonna see it coming and eat em up.
Plus the fact that Ned just got through facing a team running the exact same offense so they will be even more prepared for it.

I know little to nothing about different Offenses, however Livingston O looked nothing like Vidor's.

Livingston runs the slot t offense. Same as Vidor's. Did it last year and they are doing it this year. That's why they ran for 364 yards friday against lcm.
There was not half the backfield movement as I see in Vidor's. Im saying they didnt look similar in the least bit. They had fast kids, and some fakes, but never did I have trouble tracking the ball. I went to watch some ball and wasn't impressed, nothing bad to say, just wasn't impressed. It didn't look like Vidor, sorry dude.
May not look the same but it is the same offense man. You gotta realize there are several different plays and formations and motions and positioning and so on and so forth that you can do with this offense. I'm not saying that they run the exact same plays as us and run the same motions but they do run the same offense.

I just don't see the speed advantage that Livingston is suppose to have. That Washington kid from Ned WILL track down the Livingston backs, he's FAST! Pryor, Stampley and the other Ned backer (can't think of his name) will not be fooled and will make alot of plays. 38-14 Bulldogs.

Nederland has seen plenty of SPEED so far this year. Lets see Crosby twins,WO-S team,DAyton, GCM quarterback,Angletons whole team and then Vidors misdirection which was really good. So I think they have seen some speed once or twice. It comes down to whether their o-line can stop the DOGS D-line. Then looks like Livingston can be passed on which will open up the run. I going to pick DOGS 35-14. Collins and #9 seem to carry team. Collins got tired of being hit last year and it took its toll on him. So we shall see if we can do it again.

The reason it doesn't look the same is because nobody disguises everything as well as Vidor does. Lots of motion with the Pirates as well.

Speed is everything. There is no way that Nederland can overcome the speed of teams like Livingston, Ozen, Central, WOS, etc.

I doubt that Nederland has ever made the playoffs with Neumann as the head coach. If they ever got luck and did, they surely have never made it out of the first round. They simply don't have the speed to match up and speed rules the day.

VPATH,I like your earlier reply. The other backers name is Wood.He was the DC pre-season defensive pick last year.Couron is the DC pre-season defensive pick for this year and Malvo's a beast also.Easy to get lost in the crowed when you have so many play makers on one unit.I will also point out that I think the Dogs corner play is the best it has had since the Yoder era.Taylor,Shaw and Barrow posses speed and football instincts we have not seen at the corner position for a while.Tough stand out in a box full of diamonds. But it sure is fun to watch them shine all together!

I agree, scapegoat...it is hard to find someone who is NOT playing well on that defense this year...I thought the LBs, Stampley and Wood, were exceptional against Vidor...the front four were stout as usual with Washington, Prypr, Malveaux, and Couron all doing their thing...different role for the DBs against a pure running team like Vidor, but they did their job as well...Nederland offense continues to improve as well...Carson was totally in command this past Friday and the added element of him running the football makes the offense better...I just want to see the team focus on getting better every week and peaking come playoff time.

Livingston front offensive line and one man show will get a beat down like they have never seen. I'm on board with the Nederland D Line as the best in the area. Yes PAM ahead of your D Line too. ( I can already hear PAM fans saying it to themselves )  . Collins will make on jaw dropping play at least though the kid has skills.

29-14 Nederland  Livingston may have speed but, they in my opinion have not played against a D like Nederlands yet this year.
Ahh, OK. Livingston might just make a game of this, don't count them out just yet.

Livingston in an upset 24-21.

At least you are consistent.  You keep putting teams in front of us, saying they will beat us and we keep knocking them down. :)

even with speed, it's gonna be hard to put up points on the Ned D. and incase some of you haven't noticed yet, they are pretty quick themselves. and i use the word quick in a sense that they react to the ball quick and pursue very well. you may outrun them in a straight race, but in the game you gonna have a hard time getting to that high gear. not taking away from Livingston, just saying.
7 of the 14 points im giving Livingston will come in the final 2 minutes against Nederlands  back up defense.  No need to push the starters with a 29-7 lead.

Perhaps, a trap game after an emotional win over the Vidorians? Closer than most think probably, still have to go with Nederland 24-12. A lot of talk on speed..speed can be handled by ball control, grinding it out type of game. Bulldogs are big up front, and can control the line. Their defense is quicker than some think.

    • Either way,one game lead in the series. I rely to much on word of mouth
    • West Orange Stark has been a powerhouse since I csn remember. At some point, your bound to fall off to some degree. Alabama has 3 or 4 loses this season. Who would have thought? Has Orange lost kids to LCM or even Orangefield?
    • Interesting matchup this Friday. Both teams have very good offensive and defensive lines, which will make this game interesting. Having watched Texas High all season, they have a wide open offense with very good skill players. If you look at their stats they run the ball 57% of the time and pass 43% of the time. Personally, that is a bit deceiving, as most of their games have seen reserves running the ball in the 4th quarter. I would estimate the primary offense is 50/50. Through 12 games they have run for 3,224 yds (48tds) and passed for 2,894 yds (32 yds). Potter, the Tiger QB, has been very efficient with a 69% completion rate and 1 interception (which came from a tipped pass). The passing is distributed primarily to 4 receivers…. Ball (865), Wrightner (811), Montgomery (532), & Pilgreen (392). The rushing comes from 3 running backs … Johnson (1,432), Ball (768) & Moore (716).  The Tiger defense is solid and very quick.    Hope #15 is healthy enough to play. He is a test for any defense. I was concerned about the Nederland RB, but felt Texas High did a good job containing him. I wish this game was in the afternoon, as Nachitoches is having their Festival of Lights and their will not be any rooms in the inns and restaurants will be full so plan accordingly. PNG are state champions until someone knocks them off, so I extend the Indians the respect they deserve. Pulling for the Tigers.
    • The baseball coach has a ton of experience at high school and college level and hasn’t done anything for I think around 7 years now,it’s just something that the higher ups live with. And there has been talent come through that he hasn’t done anything with!
    • If I had to point out one team that has impressed me the most; Barbers Hill
