Is WOS the best team in SETX?

I think you have to say the best right now is Memorial. Is WOS CAPABLE of beating Nederland and Vidor, without a doubt. They would be competitive games that could go either way. I agree don't leave Silsbee out of the question. I also think WOS is capable of beating Memorial but it would be extremely tough and we would probably have to play a perfect game.

I think we are capable of beating a 5A team but we could not live in a district of 5A teams and have the record we have.

Good point and WOS could probably have went undefeated with PAM schedule at this point. The jury is still out on PAM as the meat of there schedule will start in a couple of weeks. While the WOS schedule appears to be a cake walk til week 10 when Silsbee and Patrick Reed show up with some offensive weapons and speed.

I wouldn't even take his bait twocents. He just has to down other teams in his district because his little injun boys nearly got smoked by the L-Train. That might be the only win for PNG in district. first of all i want to address the numbers thing. i give credit to harrison for this number thing. if you go to a PAM game, they only suit up 35-40 players, closer to 35. now as the season goes on the numbers start to go up and in the playoffs,you could see 50-60 suited up. since SOME wo-s are displaying "little man syndrome", ask yourself this question. can wo-s survive in 21-5a??  HUSH ABOUT NUMBERS!!! besides ns and dp, all other 21-5a teams suit up about just as many as a 20-4a school!!! when PAM played ozen, the panthers out numbered the titans by atleast 10 players. LP play people on both sides of the ball. CV don't have much depth and WB numbers are really low. so ya'll can stop with that mess.

right now PAM is the best in the area. 4-5 years ago, west brook was the best in the area. going back before 2000, WO-S was the best in the area. imo, i think 4-5 years from now, nederland will be the best in the area. i like to base things off last year. i know that sounds not right,but check it out. which team did the most in the playoffs last year?? it's very hard in 5a to get that deep. PAM is still the region 3 champ till one is crowned this year. they was the last team playing. after them whoever lasted the longest. was it ozen?? just saying...

i think maybe that tourney thing is a good idea...play it in january. two weeks. friday games and saturday double header games. single elmination. set it up in a playoff format for best in the triangle(anyone past baytown not invited.). the money can go straight to the districts/schools. that would be awsome. championship game at the butch. all played right before the super bowl.

No emotion, just an opinion based on what we've seen so far this year. I think a game between WO-S and Nederland or Vidor would be one of those games where the first team to 17 or 21 would win it. I don't think Vidor is capable of that; I think WO-S has more than enough speed on defense to shut down their run-heavy offense and force them to a passing game that hasn't been a strength the past two seasons against one of the best secondaries in the state. Nederland would prove a better match-up in my book, but I still think WO-S would pull that one out in the end.

And by the way, can't trust an Indian... you mean you don't know anyone from Port Neches or Groves you feel you can even remotely trust? At all?

I think speed has nothing to do with shutting down our offense bamakid. You should know that. We run a misdirection offense therefore the key to shutting it down is staying at home and playing it safe. Not speed. And incase you didn't know Vidor had 90 yards of passing against Nederland last friday. We can pass.

Umm lets see you had 90 yards cause outside one drive you couldn't do nothing all game long. There was a long run from the QB first play of the game and the first TD was a jolt around the end. Other then that you struggled and got behind so you had to throw. The TE 84 has all the tools to be specail. I like to see the bias people that say you can throw just stop it and run the offense to prefection.

I have to agree neither Summer Creek or Dayton would put up 4 touchdowns on WOS. Dayton is not as good as years past. WOS will go far in the playoffs, farther then both of those schools. You guys should not bet. As far as WOS being the best, dont think so but they are good no doubt.

I don't necessarily think because a school from another classification advances further in the playoffs makes them the better team over schools from other classifications. If that were the case, we could say that West Sabine or San Augustine is the best team if they advance further than WO-S, PAM or other schools.

In the case you have stated, I think it is fair to say that WO-S would have had the more successful season, but not necessarily the best team over those schools in higher classifications.

I would not be shocked if Silsbee beat WO-S
Silsbee usually matches up well with the Stangs and they play in Silsbee this year.
Lots of football to be played before they meet up.
