Best QB in the Area...........

Are we talking about passing QB's? Cuz if we aren't if we are just talking QB's then i have to throw Montana Quirante in the pot.

Coldspring's QB Scott would also have to be in if we aren't simply talking passing yardage.
31 Wins 5 Losses as a starter.
Finals in '10 semifinals in '11.
He has an excellent arm, and great speed and quickness.  Coldspring is mostly a running team, but he is a big part of their success.  He doesn't have super numbers anywhere except the stat that counts - WINS.

I agree the running QB should be included.
I'm hard put to find any other 1A area QB that's having a better season than WS's Lacey in my opinion.
If there is let me know and I will humbly concur.......lol

Wins are what counts...Bart Starr never had great numbers, neither did Bob Griese..but they won.

i say the best qb is the one who means the most to their team. in other words, i would throw in carson raines. if he is loss for the season, nederland becomes VERY suspect. another one is montana q. vidor will go far as long as he is healthy. both are impressive. PAM's fisk is good...our back up qb is good also and is a junior. PAM would not be in that much trouble if fisk was to go down...a drop off yes,but still should compete. those are my 3.

Stats don't lie and those are some good numbers but does reed play defense? You have to consider that as well.

When choosing the best QB, why does it matter if he plays defense?

Now if we are talking about MVP as in, who is the most valuable to their team, I think Quirante is right up there.

No, you don't have to consider that when just talking about the QB position.

Now if we were talking about best overall player, MVP, Iron man, then yes you would have to consider that a player plays both ways.

I can only judge by what I've seen. Carson Raines has the ability to put it on the money. He's scary good sometimes but the consistency isn't quite there. Montana Quirante is a beast. Who cares if he doesn't throw? That's not their offense. He is still a QB! Quirante is high on the list in my opinion as well. Not saying these two are the best in setx, but they are the best I've seen.

The best QB in the area is Robert Mitchell! He just happens to play on the worse coached team in the state. This kid will make some serious noise for whatever college gets him.
[/quote]no argument here. If he was at another BISD school .........nevermind....

Reed is the best QB not including the kid from SC. Q from Vidor is MVP, but that offense still moves without him under center, I've seen it. Now take him away from that defense and Vidor is in trouble.
Remove Reed from the Silsbee Offense and the bottom would drop out!
