indian15/16 Posted October 6, 2012 Report Posted October 6, 2012 Cleveland took care of business last night and recorded another "W". It was a win but not there best effort as a whole. They actually played flawless first half and took a 28-0 lead into the locker room. The problem, if you will, is that was the final score as well. The Indians again struggled with senseless penalties negating big plays and began to turn the ball over once again. These two bad habits will be their undoing against the likes of Huffman and Coldspring. The defense was sensational once again. They did not allow a point for the second consecutive game. At one point in the 4th, after a bad punt, Splendora had the ball first and ten at the Indian's 11 yd line. Four plays later the Wildcats had -2 yds to show for it and it was Indians ball. Cudos to the "D" for preserving the shutout. Even though the offense for Cleveland has struggled at times, I would like to give credit to the Splendora defense. That crew played hard and held their own throughout the 2nd half. This is the week where statements will be made as the Huffman Falcons bring their high powered offense to face the very stingy Indain defense. It has all the makings to be a great game.
