Well, gonna go try my luck at Ranbow Trout and Silver Salmon on the Kenai River up North in Alaska this weekend.  I hate the cold wet weather and don't like cold water fish, so not sure why, other than to say I did it.  Fishing out of a "drift" boat, which is a nice way of saying yeah we are sticking you for $275 and we don't have a fuel bill................

Hey, guess it's better than being in Dayton, for any reason..... ;D

Snowing it's ars off today and supposed to be worse tomorrow when we hit the river wade fishing and drift boat fishing.  Got a snap shot below of "Exit Glacier" just north of Seward, AK.  Hopefully a few fishing pictures tomorrow night.

Made the trip this summer.
Been trying to talk my wife into moving there ever since.
If you are bringing home fish, get them frozen and packed and bring them on the plane as baggage.  Much cheaper than trying to ship them back.  It is $40 or $50 for a checked bag (up to 50 pounds) on most airlines, and $8.00 a pound to ship it back.

OK, let me explain fishing here in alaska for Rainbow Trout on the Kenai river.  Basically there are about 200 rules, and 199 of them are geared towards you NOT catching the darn fish.  First AND most important, you can't use bait.  2nd, you can't keep them...... >:( >:(

Here are a couple of the trout we caught.  We had several between 24 and 28 inches.  Forgive not so many pictures, my dang fingers were cold ebough without my gloves off.... ;D ;D
