The banners in the competition gym are new. The first time I saw them was at the pep rally last Friday, so I haven't really taken a detailed look at them. Someone else said it was forty straight, so I just went off that.

In any case, 1,100 wins and making the playoffs 39 out of 40 times is pretty darn good.

Yeah I did the story on it the day before KFDM. Comeaux is the one that went through all the records to create the new banners so it's not 40 straight years despite it being reported it that way.

I think it's really cool that they're doing those banners. It keeps the competition gym from looking too plain. I know there probably wouldn't be much on them, but I hope they do similar banners for the basketball teams to take up some of that wall space.
