WOSgrad Posted October 12, 2012 Report Posted October 12, 2012 TAPPS 3-I game from Bulldog Stadium in Beaumont at 7 pm
puddin tane Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 41-0 i think...boys actually played really well defensively first half...
Aggieallstar Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 Not as bad as I thought it would be. Maybe we can score a TD next week?
Gatorpie456 Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 Keep in mind the TAPPS rule that was put in this year! If a team is up 40 the mercy rule sets in which causes for a running clock. If it wasn't for that rule the score would have been a lot worse.
puddin tane Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 the thing that really concerns me is the total lack of offense..yes, i know we have boys hurt....but, dang..play calling leaves alot to be desired...hand off up the gut 30 times for no gain..chances are it aint gonna work on the 31st try..run,run,4 ydpass, punt....run,run,4 yd pass, punt..

And even though it was 20 - 0 at half time I was really happy with the first half performance. We need to throw more. Our running game is pitiful. I was also really impressed with the Freshman that played pretty much the whole game at strong safety I believe it's Connor Quinn and if you have been around Kelly for a little you know both of his brothers were great players. I'm excited to see what he will do throughout high school.
magic Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 After looking at the stats I would have to agree about throwing the ball more. Will is completing 65% of his passes with only 1 interception. However, he only has 48 attempts. I realize he was out for at least a game. Also agree that Connor Quinn is a good athlete and a great competitor.
Aggieallstar Posted October 13, 2012 Report Posted October 13, 2012 That's how many times he attempted a pass. Not how many times a pass was called, if he was sacked or scrambled there isn't going to be a pass attempt.

Quinn is going to be one heck of a football player. Hes got good size for a freshman and a great work ethic. I'd like to see them turn the reins over to him next year if he's ready for the job at QB.
Aggieallstar Posted October 14, 2012 Report Posted October 14, 2012 Well I thought someone should. 100 passes called but only 48 attempts because no one is getting open and they aren't protecting. It's not like he's completing 65% on every drop back.
