Lately, we have been putting up points in Bunches. And I like the idea that  Vidor don't run a hurry up offense giving our defensive players a chance to catch a breather or for us to substitute.  Also, I know that Vidor relies on Quarante (sp) for a bulk of their Rushing yards, which is a good thing.  Easier To key in on.  Talent across the board is about the same.  The Ex factor until proven otherwise is coaching.  This game is winnable as Ozen almost did, but we have one brain fart from our staff that will cause us this game late.

If we can keep this offensive output alive, we can put pressure on this  Pirate  offense to feel like they need to score every trip down the field.  Could work to our advantage.  All of that ball faking and misdirection stuff sometimes puts the ball on the turf.

I'm afraid your D1 this year and it looks like its going to be tough 1st round games for Vidor, Nederland, Dayton and Summer Creek, however they match up.

Good luck with that, Vidor's defense is like WOS, they are everywhere and they are fast, Remember Lumberton put up 25 on PNG. Congrats on the big win though, played 4qtr's and that has to help your confidence.

Not sure I would compare Vidor's defensive speed to WOS, but they are well coached and recognize plays very, very quickly. I have only seen them a couple of times but they really like to blitz and try to funnel everything up the middle. Qb has to make quick decisions or have a bigger O-Line than their D-Line that can pound them. Just don't think Central has either...Pirates by 17.

The first couple of series against Lumberton Vidor did actually run a hurry up slot T. So don't plan on catching your breath and resting too much. They can put it on you.
