Speed isn't everything but its enough, enough to beat a team like Vidor, plenty on teams have been beat just because athletes were too damn fast, buuuttt Central has talent too it has been shown the last 2 games! Expect Centrals defense to be better then they were against PNG, & might I add they were better on D with Garrison Mitchell at Safety 😉 . #TurnUpjags

I think if central plays good defense they will have a chance! being that central has changed their offense its kinda hard to contain them! its just the defense that needs some help...

i mean after reading these comments its crazy!lol its good to see vidor finally doing good and being picked to win some games because they do have some talent! but so does central! to me this game will come down to the coaches(chess match)... being an jaguar alumni i would love to see central beat vidor or anybody else but i also know football! if we cant stop the run thenits going to be another high scoring game! because we (jaguars) do have some athletes that can put up some points!! Good luck to both vidor and central!

At da' Butch, Central's homecoming, Central has more speed than Vidor...is there a reoccuring theme here? Grant it, Pirates / Jags always a great game but here are tbe real differences.

1. Coaching. Definitely believe we have the edge. In high school ball, it's everything.

2. Stamina. We wear teams down in the second half (see Ozen game). Speed only last as long as you can breathe. BTW, have you seen Montana or Justin Moore with the ball?

3. Heart. Our boys don't quit so expect four quarters. I venture to say we have won the fourth in every game this year.

4. Your defense against our offense. If you can't stop it, your not getting many touches on the football and it will wear you down. Our defense has proven itself against speed this year (Clear Brook, Nederland, Ozen); ozen only had 16 yards in the second half.

Close game in the first half, we pull away in the second.
Vidor 35, Central 21.
