Will the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats win District 11-1A-I?

Since HD is on a bye week, figured we could look at the district as a whole. Well... HD is coming off a blow out win over Normangee, at one point the Bobcats were up 42-6 on the panthers. Final was 45-20. Looks as though the Bobcats have found their stride and are playing at a high level. Iola looks to be the team HD will battle with for the District championship. Iola has a very talented QB, HD would be smart to shadow and spy him. If HD stops Iola QB #3 Hayden Martinez, a District Championship could be in store. Moving on to West Hardin, H-D's most heated and hated rivalry. The WH Oilers started the preseason ranked as the best 1A team in our area. WH QB Calvin Ridge is a star athlete and leads the Oilers into battle. WH has been banged up all year and rumor was some players left the team. (Not confirmed) HD vs WH is always heated and anything could happen. And then there is Colmesneil, a team that HD beat 70-14 last season. Colmesneil returns all their starters and were picked in Dave Campbell's to win this District. Bottom line is, HD is bigger and more athletic than any team in this District, I believe HD wins out and is the District Champs. Iola is a good team and HD better play like they did against a pretty good Normangee team. HD's Lavalais and Drake may be the best two players in District, along with Iola's Martinez and WH's Ridge. GO BOBCATS!

Like I said before the season even started, Coach Finney will find a way to win...things are falling into place perfectly...got the new offense in place and rolling up some huge yards on the ground, off week to get ready for district and then roll em' up!! The Bobcats will go through district undefeated and make some noise in the playoffs...give him a full off season and next year...LOOK OUT!!! You folks gonna have some fun in HD!!! Good luck to the staff and players, hope to see you play in the playoffs! Run that tunnel sweep Coach!!!

Like I told you earlier in the season, Coach Finney will get that program headed in the right direction.
All those Bobcats have to do is believe in the coach's and each other.

Have you seen Iola yet, they have some size and they are athletic as well.  Now have heard that they lost their starting QB to an injury last week along with their number two QB as well.  They may be ready for the Bobcats though

Exactly. He has one of the better arms in the area on any level. O-line and D-line is much improved. Walsh is still Walsh. Plus they've got a fast little back-up and added a 6' 230lbs monster back there lol that running game combined with Matt Bailey's cannon could be lethal if they're firing on all cylinders. The problem is getting them to that point and keeping them healthy.

[/quote]Let's talk Colmesneil football. They have a 4-3 record. The teams they have beat are Sabine Pass, All Saints Episcopal, Burkeville and Evadale. The first three teams mentioned are a given, Evadale is down this year, Colmesneil won by 1 point. Colmesneil and HD both played Lovelady, Colmesneil was blown out 44-14 by Lovelady, HD beat Lovelady. Bottom line is Colmesneil will battle WH for 3rd place. HD and Iola will play for 1st in my opinion. HD may score 70 again on Colmesneil and that QB for Colmesneil will not have time to throw.  ;)

This team reminds me so much of Finney's second year at Maud, everybody was laughing till they had to play us...ask Normangee, Beckville, Tenaha or Cayuga about those games!!!
