Us folks west of the Trinity would like to thank the guys that put out the show and hard work done on this site. With nothing is really offered in our area, we appreciate any type of coverage and chance to participate in the talk and previews of all the high school sports. Sometimes things are not appreciated till you you lose it or like us never have had it.......thanks Grad, Mike, Aaron, Rob, Legacy Sports

I have no problem being chastised for not participating in the show. What I (and the other MCM participants) don't appreciate is the condescending manor it was delivered! Tell me how dissapointed you are but leave out the vitriolic language. When it comes from a Vidor fan, I'm sure you can see how Nederland fans take it as sour grapes! I agree with another poster, leave robadanna at home if you want to criticize MCM!

Then he starts a thread that MC people failed to show up to THE SHOW at the Depot there is is something wrong with us. Hey nothing but great RESPECT for the people who put this site and the SHOW on. They are awesome and do an awesome job. But I have no respect for someone calls a community such names.

Glad your safe.  I lived in Arkansas for 2 1/2 years, we had some scary moments as well.

Back on topic,  lets break this down :

1. The game is sold out, there will be 13 K + fans in the stands, not to mention the thousands listening on the radio and internet (Legacysports- shameless plug).

2. People camp out over night for tickets every year, not everyone actually gets a ticket

3.  People come into town from all over the country just to see this game. There aren't too many[u] high school[/u] rivalries that can say that.

4.  This occurs every year, no matter what the records are for the two teams.


5. This rivalry is going on almost 90 years.


I also appreciate everything the WOS Grad, AAW, Legacy Sports and HD do,  and I don't have an answer to why no one showed up.  I do know that it is not indicative of the state of the rivalry.

First of all I have moved to PNG and your so called rivalry does not appeal to me at all.  I have bad news, your so called rivalry exist merely on paper and history.  The rivalry exist now only in the amount of people that you can get to put on their purple and black shirts and attend the game on friday.  There is no hype, there is no build up of suspense between two communities fighting for bragging rights anymore.  Its just an exchange of wins, (yep its Nederlands turn this year to win) in the shadows of what USED to be one of the states greatests rivalaries!  Ive seen better plots than this played out in the pineywoods with 1A schools.  blaaaahhh  lol i laugh at your jealousy theory!!

On point with this.  We don't get much coverage over here and understandably so, considering its called setxsports and were not in setx.  We're thankful for any coverage we get and we appreciate the time and effort y'all spend to make the show and site what it is.  There are a lot of great people here, and that makes the 3 hour trip worth it.  In the future, maybe us fans west of the Trinity can get a car pool going.  SCDAWGS and I have talked about it already, so hopefully we can put it together now.

I WAS ASKED TO START THIS THREAD BECAUSE YOU GUYS DON'T SHOW UP TO ANY OF THE SETXSPORTS SHOWS! DDDDDUUUUUUHHHHH!!! AND EVERYBODY, EVERYBODY KNOWS I CAN GET UNDER Y'ALLS SKIN.
