BADSANTA
Neither Silsbee or WOS not in the top 10 in state overall. Both have state ranked athletics but there are schools that have ranked football, baseball, and basketball.

BADSANTA
So if WOs loses to Silsbee in football, gets swept in basketball, and gets smacked in baseball will the WOS consider the season a disappointment?
Cougar4Life
I would say Carthage could be in the mix somewhere. State championships in football and baseball. powerhouse in both every year. not sure about other sports.

robanadana
If you're talking who puts out the most professional athletes, WOS is tops. That little school could field their own professional football team and play any other school in the nation with their professional alumni. BADSANTA
I think Beaumont West Brook or Jasper has had more NFL players than WOS. Remember WOS use to be 5A as well.

Our baseball was once good and our basketball has been up and down. We are, however, on the rise for sure with baseball and I think the basketball program is on the rise also. We should never have let the basketball and baseball programs deteriorate so far down.

skipmeister
The best overall talented school in 3A should be balanced in athletics both male and female, academics, and community service/political involvement/citizenship!
