BH's vasity is currently young and the underclass are very good.  I'll say at least the next 4 years we should be set.
any idea how ya'lls freshman has done this year?
bh freshman are descent. I know they have 1 loss to ck and maybe one more but im not sure. Daytons freshman last year and this year are 2 of the best I have seen. I look for about 5 of the kids on this freshman squad to be huge playmakers on varsity next year. Dayton has more young talent on varsity this year than anyone in our district.
When you speak of BH freshman remember that we have 2 teams and not 1 like Dayton. It's tough to gauge the freshman as alot of schools we play only play half of our team. BH looks to be tough for the next several years looking down the ladder from 7 year olds playing tackle to our Seniors this year there are a lot of talented kids. our Junior class this year at BH is awesome and i think we will field one of the best Teams BH has had is while next year. Homes are still being built and BH is growing bigger each day, so more talent will sure move to BH over the next several years.

NOT SO FAST!
I think he was listing Brenham futures.

Nederland will be very good through this Soph class. Seay will be a very good QB and they return Wash, Malveaux, Brown etc nxt year. I agree after soph class it gets a little dry (#44 on fresh team is a load).

PNG freshman are very talented. Adam Morse is legit at QB. Giblin at LB and several good WRs (#4 and #15) including Cropper and some big aggressive linemen. Sophs include Walker, Peveto, Lane, Romero, Murdoch, Smith, Mayfield, Benoit, Halfin, Hughes and Sparks. Lots of good headsy football players that will make impacts next year.

I don't consider 22-6 beating the daylights out of them (only won by 2 tds)...but heard Ned played a great game! Now, the freshmen game was another story  ;)

He's talking about when Ned sophs and PNG sophs were Freshman.  Nederland dismantled PNG's current sophomores in that game, much like this years PNG freshman dismantled Nederlands.  In my opinion, Nederland has the upper hand next year.  The following year when the current sophs are seniors, and the current Freshman are juniors, you'll have a coin flip as the PNG freshman will be strong contributors.

The PNG / Nederland 8th graders are pretty even, with possibly a nod to PNG, but I think that CO/Central class will see a huge leap in overall ability when combined, Central really has some players.

Nederland 7th grade gets the nod over PNG based on where they stand at this point and how games played out this year, but a lot could change since they are still so young.

I though Dayton only had one team as well? Everything changes, but I think the middle school teams at BH are good and I think the 6th grade boys have some athletes as well. Hard to gauge the younger groups because the kids will peak at different times. I think BH will be fine though.

Last years game between Ned and PNG freshman saw 5 PNG starters out, 3 PNG td passes dropped and 2 PNG running td's called back as my memory serves. Not exactly a blow out.

I agree with that. I have seen several play makers on the freshman team from linemen to backs.

Well if you want to pull that card out, wbu in 7&8 grade when C.O. never let up a point to them (Groves or PNG), and won by a average of 50

I just don't see Ned replacing that line and that secondary. Yeah I have no doubt they will be good but I don't see them being dc good. That's a lot of experience and size to replace in that defense. Not to mention there starting qb.
You should be worrying about replacing YOUR starting qb. He accounts for over half of y'alls offense. That kid covers up a lot of y'alls weaknesses with his ability to keep the offense on the field 3 or 4 yards at a time. After he graduates it's a lot more likely Vidor goes back to struggling to make the playoffs vs competing for district championships. Based on this year's stats so far Crosby has the best set of returning skill players in the district and I won't even make predictions like that. Coogs are going to return over 4,000 yards of offense and 8 of 11 starters, but I guess when you play in a district where 2-5 Central is still in it that's not that far of a reach.
We have a few of his younger brothers and cousins coming up to make up for it. The real question is what are y'all gonna when y'all lose those precious twins of yours!

The Freshman, 8th and 7th graders are all decent but not really all that good, they could possibly grab the 4 spot in those years, other than that I do not see them doing that great.
FYI- Tonight's Freshman-A team score

Nederland      49
Ozen.              14

Yep, we better start that rebuilding pretty soon, it's looking awful out there. ::)

Not that they would have won the game, but they were out coached in the PNG game, and personnel adjustments were made after the Vidor game. You think what you want.  I prefer to encourage these young men, not convince them they will never win a game.  Some of them dealt with that enough already. My final words on the matter.

I see the next two or three years dc being decided between the vidor and png games with Ned, central, and ozen in the mix as well.
Hope you're right and I'm wrong,  but I think you may be a tad optimistic about contending for a DC.  I think it will be a fight just to get into the playoffs with what we're losing this year. IMO.

PNG's freshman QB is one of the best I've seen at that age, that has nothing to do with coaching, plus you allowed 2 returns for TD's how is that coaching.  You may not have the best coaching, but you got flat out beat by PNG, give it a rest, you'll have another chance.
