HJ will have another solid team with Bosha and Johnson as their main scorers. WOS could battle HJ for second place.
WO-S should do good this year. Time will tell
Lazeek Posted October 28, 2012 Report Posted October 28, 2012 BD3 you mean the same KP team that HJ beat???

BMTSoulja1 Posted October 28, 2012 Report Posted October 28, 2012 Silsbee will win this district while WO-S and H-J will battle for 2nd and 3rd. I'm just interested in how the Hawks will replace a scoring threat like Prudhomme.

BLUEDOVE3 Posted October 28, 2012 Report Posted October 28, 2012 As much as I hate to give HJ any props, they will do fine in their district.
stevenash Posted October 28, 2012 Report Posted October 28, 2012 I can empathize with the pain you are currently experiencing due to your last comment.

Well maybe I should say, it will help to have an inside threat against a team that can match with speed. Prudhomme was your X factor last year. I think you'll do fine in district as well because of coaching, but I'm interested in seeing how you'll adjust to life without the big fella.
stevenash Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 No doubt it will be difficult- Other than Bosha, ( and he is on the perimiter) there is no size with any experience to speak of.
BLUEDOVE3 Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 So, the 6'7" kid who was thinking about leaving HJ, did he stay or transfer?

I wish I understood why he is so fascinated with this matchup. After all, he has never mentioned how much he would like to see HJ play the Longhorns or the Aggies. BLUEDOVE3 Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 Well, I was also thinking HJ would love to run into Yates :-\
stevenash Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 And why is it that a 3-a team from a town of a few thousand is anxious to meet with a 4-a team (recently reclassified) from a town of several million with players from out of state? Could I interest you in a game of golf or tennis today:?

stevenash Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012 Forget the titles- why the fascination with a team from sour lake playing one from Houston- I noticed u didn't respond to my golf/tennis offer in spite of being so much younger. HJ will do fine against any town with similar size and demographics- why not also lobby for them to play Oak Hill- that'll teach em a thing or two, won't it?
AggiesAreWe Posted October 29, 2012 Report Posted October 29, 2012
Why didn't Yates opt up to 4A?
Because HISD had all their schools not opt up. HISD knew that they could have their own 3A district which would help in the travel. That was the reason for those schools always opting up in the past because they did not want to be stuck in a district outside the loop. But, from what I was told, Yates actually thought their numbers would keep them 4A so they did not check the box. After the fact, some admins at Yates wanted to appeal but HISD said no.From what I have been told, Yates will be back in 4A next realignment no matter what their enrollment is.
