There are no PN-G fans on this thread trying to down Vidor or take anything away from their win. We have all congratulated them. Overall I would say this is a pretty friendly thread. And as far as paybacks...I think we all knew that Vidor would hand us our butts..no surprise there. I'm sure the feeling would have been better for Vidor if they had ransacked a good PN-G team. Games like this don't really help you prepare for the playoffs and are no test for whats to come.

I manned up when NDNation called me out for Vidor poster saying "run up the score," to which I agreed in post last night.

(I am sure there are not many PNG "posters" who like me when I stood up at beginning of season for their  OWN PNG QB.  I stated the obvious that their defense need the most attention (to which I was told by PNG "posters" that I didn't know what I was talking about).  The season is proof, QB (in question) put 50 points on Central to which the defense couldnt hold them to UNDER 50.)


It seemed like a lot of belly aching about NED fans not liking/supporting PNG, ,quoting NDNation "the bulldogs fans on here never seem to root for us"

If yall cant handle a little good humor, then maybe you should call bamakid.....youll have a lot to talk about.

PNG and Nederland may have a huge rivalry, but some of PNG's best friends are in Nederland, likewise with Nederland, and if you live in either one of those towns, you probably have family in the other one. We are a tight community all but one week a year.

Nederland matches up very well with Vidor because of our front 4 and LB play. We are able to slow down their running game and force them to pass which is not their strong suit. That is why we beat them. They are very good, but I feel that Ned is a more complete team because we can run and throw and have a defense that is well equipped to slow down the Pirates.

Nederland IS a more complete team,  IMO.  As good as Vidor is (and they really are)  when they face a team with a real run defense,  they are going to be in big trouble.  In the playoffs,  you've got to be able to perform all functions well,  or you are out.

If Nederland played Vidor again, the Dogs would win by more, D. wash would be full time on defense and the O line would have two straight games under their belt, the outcome would NOT be different and likely worse.  These Dogs get up for big games... and they will have one come week 11 we will be ready

Vidor has proved that they need to pass in previous games. Yes Nederland did present a problem with us but 2 of there td drives were because we made mistakes( aka penalties) and they capitalized on it. No excuses here. Ned won the game fair and square but our mistakes did help them.

Does it really matter who scored more points on PN-G, comparing scores doesn't really prove anything, Nederland beat Vidor 20-13, so it's already been established that Ned is the better team.

Nederland would force more.mistakes and convert again, Nederland is the best team in 204A this year, that is certain, only question is are they the best team in 194a, that will be decided in week 11

It looks that way because the QB only acts like he's the only receiver on the field.  Not too hard to defend us when everyone in the stadium knows where the pass is going.  >:(
