Umm...... pretty sure that was not planned. Maybe you're joking and I just didn't get it. That was just a lucky bounce for Dayton. That's what this game was. Two teams both stopped by each others defense and decided by special teams, broken plays, lucky bounces. Thank God it wasn't decided by the refs.

A win is a win. Both defenses played great. I hated to see denny go out in the second quarter but the kid that replaced him actualy had a couple nice runs. Dayton had receivers open but for some reason our qb was not on his game. I was also shocked at our punting. Dayton called a timeout to kick with the wind to end a quarter and the punt netted less than 20 yds which is unheard of for our kicker. Bh has a good team and used that bye week to really come out prepared.

One more thing and I'll get off my soapbox. Someone mentioned in an earlier post about lil' pony(#15) not getting any touches. I totally agree! WTH? I think his running style would have been the perfect fit for this type of game. Sad that the coaches didn't see that. The one carry he had went for 7 yards. He's a senior too. I know # 18 may be faster and more of a big play threat, but they were not giving us the edges. They totally committed to shutting down the outside.

Sorry for being critical. Most Dayton posters do such a good job of refraining from negative comments. I can't help it. I have loved me some Bronco football for many years, driven to every away game, sat through many a cold night, and I think I have earned the right to at least speak my mind. Is it time to give up the spread? I mean if we're gonna run the option......? If we're only going to attempt 8-10 passes (most of those being long routes) a game, should we give up the spread? Just sayin. How about a full back and tight end? I mean if you're going to run the ball 90% of the time, should we have 4 (talented) wideouts on every play? Just asking.

That kid should not be hanging his head. Nor should the whole BH team/coaches. They played great. We got the breaks. That was the only difference.

[/quote]yeah I have never seen him punt that bad. Even with the wind. It was a strange night. Thank goodness daytons defense came out on a mission. I cant even name all the kids that made huge plays.

When has Dayton or BH ever play a nederland team this good? BH beat Nederland last year, but last years team would get destroyed vs this years team.

what i do remember was in rice stadium when nedeland was whipping Dayton 35 to 0 at halftime in playoffs . had to call off the dogs in second half. so dont think yall have a easy game with Vidor or Nedeland . :)
