AggiesAreWe Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 I am sitting here looking at 10-2A DI standings. There is a possibility that 5 teams could end up tied for that 3rd and final spot. Kirbyville is 3-3, Woodville is 3-3, Anahuac is 3-3, Kountze 2-4, Warren 2-4. All 5 could end district at 3-4. If Kirbyville loses to Warren, Anahuac loses to Kountze, Woodville loses to Newton, that would create the 5 way tie for the final spot. Crazy!!! Figure that one out!I don't see Kirbyville losing to Warren or Anahuac losing to Kountze, but I also didn't see Warren beating Woodville last night. ;)If this transpires, what a crazy tie breaker this would be. :o

Kirbyville should win but will be on the outside looking in, IMO.All signs point to Newton, EC & AP as your reps for 10AA DI playoff teams
OLDGREGG Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 If Warren plays like they did last night against woodville then they could very well beat Kville. And if Kountze plays the entire game against AP like they did the second half against Kirbyville then Anahuac could get beat. A 5 way tie is VERY possible
BBfan061 Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 Idk why ppl think Kountze should lose??
ChampionEagles Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012
Idk why ppl think Kountze should lose??
I think mainly because they are unproven. Historically they have lost and you can't turn perceptions around in a single year. If they continue to improve in the next few years, they will get the respect their looking for IMO.

NewtonNation Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 Congrats again to the Warren Warriors for really stirring things up!
WOSgrad Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 What makes it even more interesting is if the above scenario happens, all team will be 2-2 against each other head to head, so it WILL go to positive points.
KB24 Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 its going to come down to AP and Kirbyville for third.. All AP has to do is win and its theres even if KV wins. they have bet them already this season and same scenario if they both lose. Woodville is out because they are NOT going to bet Newton... And even if kountze was to win they lost to KVille.

mfd814 Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 Kirbyville better be ready, or Warren might beat them. Warren ha tasted winning and wants more.
EastTexasBall Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 This is what I was think last week when I started the 10-2ADI thread. Don't see it being a five-way tie but it could. Bi-district opponents up North could end up in a four-way tie.... for first. Assuming both Tatum and Troup win this week it would end up as Tatum #1 seed, WO #2 seed and Troup #3 seed.

If all three win this week, I can see a 3-way tie but not a 4-way tie. What is your tie-breaker system? If it is margin of victory, wouldn't White Oak be #1 (+10 over Troup), Tatum #2 (+7 over White Oak) and Troup #3 (+4 over Tatum)? And while I don't know a lot about White Oak and Jefferson, they appear to be fairly closely matched. What if Jefferson pulls out the win? Then would it be Troup #1 (4-1 but beat Tatum), Tatum #2 (4-1 but lost to Troup) and a tie between White Oak & Jefferson for 3rd? How would the tie be broken then for the 3rd place spot?
Dawg88 Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 In what alternate universe is Woodville going to beat Newton?A four-way tie is on the edge of the realm of possibility, but not at all probable.Go Anahuac! Just win over Kountze and put an end to the confusion!

You are correct, the 5-way tie would be with a Woodville loss. But then you have a team going to the playoffs with a loosing record, which really gets under my skin. I know it happens a lot in this insane "UIL-gone-crazy" system that we have, but it is still ridiculous.
