19-4A, Get Ready to be Punked Again...

Here are the playoff wins for the last 4 years regarding 19 & 20-4A. Before that Dayton was in 22-4A (which is now 20-4A). 2007 was the last year of just 2 teams going from each district.

More of a coincidence IMO. Very porous defense for dayton that year.... I think Ozen beat us by a point in bi-district.The D1 matchups this year in bidistrict really don't have that much difference in enrollments with the exception of SC who is essentially a 5A school now.

Dayton turned a corner in '07 and has been a different program ever since... expectations just went to another level. Not predicting anything... just stating some observations.

I guess since y'all are new to the playoffs you don't realize you don't get to make it out of the first round every year. Your coach went 8-2 and they gave him the coach of the year award, that should let you know what people think of your program. Like y'all like to say when someone brings up the past, "this is a new year." So I'll see your "we beat y'all last year" and raise you "win another one this year". Three years from now after you still have those same two playoff wins since the LBJ era, you'll still be saying "at least we beat Crosby three years ago". Hey though, if I was the laughing stock of the region for a half century I would just get in where I fit in too.
