Lamar is great for playoffs
No it isn't. Ask Vidor fans what they thought of playing their playoff game at PUS last year.8,000 Vidor fans on the home side and only 1 concession stand open with just 3 people working it.Also the press box is less than accommodating.Lamar does not roll out the red carpet for high school games.Butch is better place for local playoff games.
I would take the Butch over Lamar stadium any day. It is ridiculous regarding access to the stands and then aisles that lead up to your seats... it is not what I would recommend for a good sized playoff game where they might bring any kind of crowd. I'm actually surprised it's not a fire hazard.

Guest donniebarnwell
Most schools want to play on turf come playoff time and for some reason or another this area, compared to all other areas of Texas has very little to choose from when it comes to nice stadiums. cooligan
Places like PNG and Dayton might be good for smaller schools, but you can't attract schools with good followings do to your unbalanced seating. I would say we will see games at the Butch, Lamar and Stallworth etc for our SETX 4A schools.
