Would you rather?

In high school basketball would you rather have a dominating post player ala Colton Weisbrod, Tyler Edwarda, ToeToe Wilridge or a great point guard like Kobi Jones and Jared hunter

If forced to make that decision at the high school level, I would be inclined to want the guard.

Those players mentioned above are very nice players. But you give me Shaq which class 3A San Antonio Cole had when he was in high school, I'll take the dominant post player. ;) ;D

They were okay, nothing to brag about.

In the state championship game, on several occasions Shaq led the fast break.

that's one VERY small portion of the game, fast breaks. In the half court what is a guard going to do from preventing a post from getting offensive/defensive boards and scoring? IMO, which i know means nothing to anyone on here, but it is much easier to contain a guard on the perimeter than a post down low.

Give me a guard that can push it up the floor ,and set up the play or be a play maker.Do not
need a post player looking for the ball in the paint near as much.

There isn't a big in this area who can hold any of the many quick guards in this area.
