500nomore Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 This is a must win for WS sitting at 2-2 in district play. They have two wins against less than competitive Shelbyville and Cushing by a combined score of 110 to 15, yet struggled against the two district favorites in San Augustine and Alto, but lost by only 12 and 14 respectively. They win and they pretty much guarantee 3rd place, but there is an outside and yet even more remote chance of getting second should Shelbyville beat Alto by at least 14 points. This scenario would leave Alto sitting at home. Not likely but not impossible with Alto being banged up. What are your thoughts?
STINGER Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 IMO No way Alto loses to Shelbyville. WS MUST take care of business this week in Grapeland. Grapeland will be no slouch and could leave the Tigers playing basketball earlier than expected. As long as WS plays to thier capabilities then it should be a W by several scores, however I am worried because the team (WS) has looked very flat the past few weeks. If WS gets fired up again they will win and if they carry that over into the playoffs they could go a long way!
mmccary Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 Grapeland can play tough D. I think they can pull if out if they want it bad enough.
HDBobcats9 Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 I think West Sabine wins this one without a doubt. I think there is only about a 1% chance that Shelbyville beats Alto, but it's kinda crazy to think that if they beat the Yellowjackets by 15 points, that Alto doesn't make the playoffs. My predictions:West Sabine - 38Grapeland - 20Alto - 44Shelbyville - 18
