westend1 Posted November 9, 2012 Report Posted November 9, 2012 I must have seen 500 ducks on Sabine Lake Wednesday. Somebody should be doing pretty good. I do know that my sons friends limited pretty easily in anahuac opening morning.

Cougar4Life Posted November 14, 2012 Author Report Posted November 14, 2012 Im new to the duck business. Went this past weekend and killed a few. Anybody have any good methods on ways to prepare/cook duck, and how to get the gamey taste out?

Place on an oak plank and put in oven for about an hour. Take it out, throw away the duck and eat the plank. ;)

Uncle Si Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 Lots of canvas backs and redheads on Toledo right now. Duck shootin on Toledo bend is as good this year as I've seen in the past 20 years or so. Around Indian mounds is hot right now.
