Good Luck to SC... All I can say is after the dust settles win, lose, or tie.... SC will know and remember the Vidor Pirates.... this I can assure you of... we are undersized, slow, and weak just ask anyone we have played this year... but remember this... and you will.... when we hit you its like you got hit by a mack truck and its all night long... you will get tired of getting hit... Ask Mr. Thomas of Central... we are relentless in our pursuit of a win so have your track shoes on and plenty of Oxygen bottles on the sidelines you will need both...

Yep, LCM found the holes in that good defense of Vidor....we really dont defend the pass very well sometimes.  But I do recall that the Pirates hung 63 points on LCM and won the game.  I look at SC like Nederland in that they will have a quick defense that will create problems for our offense, and, SC has a high powered offense, so its gonna be a very hard game for the Pirates to win.  It ought to be a smash mouth affair at the line of scrimmage.  If the score is close, that favors Vidor.  If its not close, then SC will be on top.

Not a lot of teams will hit you in the mouth like Vidor. Although SC looks way better on paper and has a big skill advantage, I think this will be a close game. SC won't run away because Vidor is good at playing keep away. One big disadvantage here for Vidor is they are not geared to play from behind. If SC gets up by 2 or 3 TDs, it will be a long night. Either way, I think both teams are good enough to make some noise later in the playoffs, so it's ashame one has to go home this early.

KEEP #10 FROM SC OFF THE FIELD AND VIDOR SHOULD BE ALRIGHT................EVEN THOUGH NOBODT THIS YEAR HAS BEEN ABLE TO DO IT..................BETTER OPEN UP THE PLAY BOOK VIDOR CAUSE THE SC D WILL BE THE THE BEST YOU SEEN THIS YEAR (COUNTING NED)  ;)

Someone earlier stated that Summer Creek couldn't compete in 5-A. Well we will find out next year. Summer Creek is being moved to 5-A next year, because the school is expected to grow to 3300-3500 students next year. Much of our team is only Juniors, and will be returning next year. Also, there is a 8th grader coming up from one of the feeder middle schools who is already 6'2", 235lbs. Summer Creek, and Humble ISD in general, is very strong in sports, and the little league system, Humble Area Football League, always has 500+ players in development for middle, and High school.

In most of the games this season, the second, and third string, has been playing half the third, and all of the fourth quarters. Also, No one has mentioned Dakota Allen(#40), on the Summer Creek Defense. Dakota (height: 6'1" weight: 220, ILB,) is a force on defense, and will give any run game major problems. Summer Creek's offense has been working on a multi-layered strategy, with emphasis on the run game. The Summer Creek offense will bring the ability to use the pass, and the run effectively. Summer Creek will win a tight game (1-2 touchdowns) against Vidor.

Our entire Defense is a force.....this year LBs are better than last years, that's #44, #41#40#53#56#45....they all are good!

The school added 700+ students this year, and I heard(second hand, so take it with a grain of salt) that next year would be the move to 5-A, with and expected 850 new students.

Yes they all are very good. People tend to focus one one player, and miss the other great players. Number #57 is a unmovable force on the end.

I love the Pirates being the underdogs and I know our players do too! They will make you play 4 quarters if they are up by 20+ or down by 20+ they are relentless every play and pop you square in the mouth every play in between the whistles and WILL make you remember the Vidor Pirates after the game ends! But good luck to both teams and may the best team win with no injuries.
